About MCTA

Serving Montgomery County, Maryland, the Montgomery County Tennis Association (MCTA) was founded in 1996 to promote and grow tennis throughout the community. Since its inception, MCTA has become the largest Community Tennis Association in Maryland, providing high-quality programming for players of all ages and skill levels.

MCTA is recognized for its comprehensive adult and junior league offerings, including UTR-based leagues and competitive match play that create clear development pathways for players seeking both team competition and individual growth. Our leagues emphasize sportsmanship, competitive balance, and long-term engagement in the sport.

In addition to league play, MCTA proudly supports and hosts UTR and USTA-sanctioned tournaments, including long-standing events such as the Bruce Francis Tournament and the Banana Open. These tournaments offer meaningful competitive opportunities for junior and adult players while upholding the highest standards of organization and player experience.
