MCTA to add junior tournament in 2010 in lieu of Adult age-division tournaments. NTRP-based tournaments also to continue
MCTA has advised Mid-Atlantic Section and Maryland District that it no longer will host the MAS Senior Hardcourt Outdoor Championships, usually held in May, nor the Maryland State Hardcourt Outdoor Championships usually held in September. MCTA will continue to host the MAS NTRP Championships over July 4 weekend (also a feed-in to the national Banana Open) and the Bruce Francis Memorial Tournament (also NTRP-based) over Labor Day weekend. In addition in 2010, MCTA is looking to host a junior player tournament for the first time. To stay abreast of MCTA-hosted tournaments, call the MCTA Tournament Hotline at: 301-363-4400 and then select option "5".
