MCTA - Your Match in Montgomery County, MD
Founded in 1996 to promote tennis in our area, MCTA has grown to over 5,000 league players and is now the largest USTA Community Tennis Association in Maryland. MCTA welcomes players of all ages and skill levels for league play; to participate in a variety of annual tennis tournaments; or to volunteer for, or participate in a number of community outreach tennis programs.

It's Official!

Montgomery County Council Vice President Phil Andrews; Frank Hatten, President of MCTA; M-NCPPC Chairman Royce Hanson; Honoree Pauline Betz Addie; and Special Guest Billie Jean King at the May 1st Dedication Ceremony re-naming Cabin John Indoor Tennis the Pauline Betz Addie Tennis Center at Cabin John Regional Park.  County Executive Ike Leggett also spoke to the packed-house crowd that gathered to honor Pauline. See more pictures.

 League Players!

                                                                        Spring Adult League

Captains: Team registration closed on March 31st. Local league match play began on April 20 and concludes no later than July 11. The full season of scheduled match play is posted in TennisLink.  Note that not all levels will start at the same time, and that several facilities are not available for MCTA's use until early May.

The MCTA Shopping Cart remains open to receive teams' second installment payment of court fees. This remaining 40% payment is due no later than May 23rd. Teams that do not make payments on time risk forfeiture of matches and loss of privilege to use the installment method in subsequent league seasons. 

Summer Senior Leagues

Schedules for the Super Senior leagues will be completed during the first week of May and distributed to coordinators and captains as soon as possible.

MCTA Junior Team Tennis 

Summer Session Registration is now open until June 6 .
Program runs Sunday afternoon- evenings from June 22 -July 27 ( no play july 4th weekend)

MCTA + Special Olympics= Great Success!!! 
MCTA concluded its inaugural season with the Special Olympics of Montgomery County, MD in October, 2007.  With 30 athletes and 60+ volunteers, the program was a resounding success!!!  We will reconvene in April of 2008 on the outdoor courts at the Cabin John Outdoor Tennis Facility.   To learn more about this exciting program and/or to pursue volunteer opportunities, please contact Greg Overkamp or Ahmed Soliman.
