Founded in 1996 to promote tennis in our area, MCTA has grown to just under 6,000 league players and is now the largest USTA Community Tennis Association in Maryland. MCTA welcomes players of all ages and skill levels for league play; to participate in a variety of annual tennis tournaments; or to volunteer for, or participate in a number of community outreach tennis programs.

MCTA Store Now Open for Fall League Team Registration
MCTA has opened its on-line Store for team captains to pay their refundable deposits in anticipation of entering a team in the Fall Mixed Doubles or Fall Combo Doubles leagues. Captains also must have on file a signed 2010 Captain's Commitment Form before a TennisLink Team Code will be issued (persons who captained an MCTA league team earlier in 2010 need not file another Form.) Team registration closes on Friday, September 10th. Match play will begin as early as Monday, September 20th and continue through Sunday, December 19th. Players looking to join a team should contact Terri Wallendjack for assistance.
Draws/Schedules Posted for Bruce Francis Memorial Tournament!
Draws and match schedules for all events of MCTA's annual Bruce Francis Memorial tournament at TCCP are now posted. This District Championship-level tournament offers NTRP-based events at all levels of singles and doubles. You can access the schedules from the tournament homepage by clicking here.
Congratulations to the Tweeners, JTT Section Champions

"The Tweeners," MCTA's 14 & under Advanced Spring Junior Team Tennis winner were crowned Mid-Atlantic Section JTT Champions as a result of their play in Fredericksburg this past weekend! Captained by Holly Welch, players include (left to right) Sydney Yao, Jack Welch, Tammy Vo, Nicole Welch, William Szamosszegi, and Mark Prettyman.
